Demonstration of sculptra injection by Dr. Mest. Injection with needle. 1 vial of Sculptra dissolved with 6ml of water, allowed to stand overnight, and has 2cc LA added before injection.
Swirl vial before injection. Do not shake. Draw with 18G needle. Inject with 26G needle.
At entry point of needle, use some LA first for patient comfort.
Upper face, deeper injections: temple: sub-galeal
Lower face: deep dermis or subcutaneous
Sculptra is to be viewed as a volumiser. Not a filler of deep folds.
Do not aim for over correction. Correction of hollows etc to be done as multiple injections in different sessions 3 weeks apart, not correction in a single big injection.
